Ooops! Fixing Stamping Mistakes

Oh no!!!  Have you ever dropped a stamp on your project?  Or stamped the wrong color?  Or stamped the wrong dates on your calendar?

Check out my April calendar below.  Notice anything wrong?  Apparently I decided that since we had an extra day in February...I would take away a day in April....And then I got so flustered when I realized my mistake that I thought I had to add an extra 30.  Yep, it was one of my more brilliant moments....

What should I do?  I thought about cutting out a bunch of images on the cricut, but if I made my sample that way, then the whole class would want to do the same thing...Hmmmm...

Finally I decided to pull out my favorite cleaning product.  All purpose cleaner with bleach.  I sprayed a couple of sprays in a little dish, dipped a q-tip in and rubbed it on all the mistakes..

And then I panicked again.  The green eggs disappeared right away, but the numbers turned a funky color.....and then....

They disappeared!!!  Woo Hoo!!  Hallelujah.  I grabbed my stamps and re-stamped one of the dates and then....it disappeared again.  Oops.  Turns out, you have to be a bit  more patient.  I let the calendar dry overnight and then tried it again the next day and...Voila!!!  It worked!!!
