March CTMH SOTM Blog Hop - Floral Happiness

Welcome to the March 2013 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring S1303 Floral Happiness.  Whether you started here or hopped over from Carla's Blog you are right on track. We have 58 consultants participating so you're bound to get a ton of ideas for this gorgeous set. Just follow the links at the end of the posts and we'll take you on a little tour through our blogs...

Let me start by saying that I Love, Love, Love this set!!!! It is so easy to stamp!  Just pick two colors, stamp the base and then stamp the darker shade on top and you get gorgeous roses.

On the first card I used Sorbet as my base and Sunset as the shade. (leaves are sweet leaf and olive)

As I was stamping the roses I realized that this is the perfect set for random stamping, so I stamped up a 12x12 of colonial white and then cut it up to create a few cards.  I still have plenty left to make more!  Again I used the sorbet/sunset combo and I added creme brulee/goldrush.

I used patterned paper from the Buzz and Bumble paper pack.

You can purchase this stamp set for $17.95 or get it for only $5 when you place a qualifying order of $50 or more.

Here's a sample order that is $51.15 and would help you to create the projects above:
  • X7164 Buzz and Bumble Paper Pack 9.95
  • X1410 Colonial White Value (50) Pack Cards and Envelopes 14.95 (love these!)
  • 5 stamp pads @ $5.25 each (I used 7 colors - Sorbet, Sunset, Creme Brulee, Goldrush, Sweet Leaf, Olive and Cocoa.)
  • And you can add Z1753 Sparkles - Brown/Tan for just $2.95 more.

Head on over to my website to place your order right away and you'll be creating some gorgeous roses in no time!  Add your order to the March Mystery Hostess party listed on the lower right hand side and you could win the hostess goodies for the party!!

Now it's time to head on over to Lucy's blog to see what she created.

Feeling the Luck of the Irish with CTMH

My online team meeting is tonight and I challenged my team to create something for St. Patrick's Day.  This was a bit of a challenge because our current Idea Book doesn't feature any St. Patrick's Day stamps or papers.... but one of the great things about the Close To My Heart products is that you can adapt them to ANY theme.

So I used my Cricut Artiste Cartridge, grabbed some New England Ivy and Olive Cardstock and a little swatch of paper from the Buzz and Bumble paper pack and came up with this.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the team came up with.  (I'm also working on a gorgeous banner that I am in love with!  I can't wait to finish and post pictures!!!)

How would YOU like to start your own Close To My Heart business?  Head on over to my website and join today for only $49 (retail value is approximately $130).

Not only do you receive access to some amazing training videos from Close To My Heart (CTMH), but you'll also be added to the Stamp Til Dawn team and can participate in our facebook group and online meetings.  Fun, fun, fun!

Still playing around with the "Spring" key on the Close To My Heart (CTMH) Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  There are so many fun projects on this one little key.  It could keep me busy for a while!

This time I made the cute little strawberry basket and turned it into an Easter basket.  Quick, easy and fun!

I wove some of our Chantilly fabric through the sides of the basket and embellished with the Easter Wishes stamp set.

Products Used:

  • Cotton Candy Cardstock
  • Cotton Candy ink pad
  • Key Lime Cardstock (retired - you could use pear or sweet leaf)
  • B1422 Easter Wishes
  • Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge
In case you missed it - here's the post where I featured the Butterfly Boxes from the same key.

CTMH Chantilly is the star at My March Workshops and Demos

Time to highlight another one of our fun paper packs in the new catalog - Chantilly!  This paper pack works so well for Spring and Easter that I decided I have to feature it at my March workshops, gatherings and online parties.  I'm still designing and creating so you'll have to come back to see my samples, but here's some artwork from the Close To My Heart (CTMH) art department.

CTMH Artiste Butterfly Boxes

My buddy Candace was prepping for one of her workshops and inspired me to make these adorable butterfly boxes with the Close To My Heart (CTMH) Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

I know many of my customers qualified for the Dotty For You campaign a while back so I thought it would be fun to show you something you can do with some of the paper you might have left.

Video of Workshop Day!

Good Morning!  I just finished editing a little video I made while setting up for the workshop on Saturday and I love it.  I'm so excited to share a little taste of what my workshops are like.   I do one big workshop each month and it's casual, crazy, fun...  Since life is so chaotic and everyone has kids and jobs and a million other responsibilities, I try to make my workshops as casual as possible.

Here are a few of the highlights

  • Time - 11am - 5pm.  I tend to give more instruction at the beginning of the day, but if you have a soccer game in the morning, you can still come by in the afternoon.  I had four more people that came after I shot the video and by then some of the morning crowd had moved on to their next activity.
  • Open crop - this means you can work on your own projects or one of the ones I provide.
  • Free - yep, it's free to take up a spot, but you pay for projects.
  • Potluck - this is always optional.  As you can see we have plenty of food, so if you're running late or don't have time to bring something, you definitely won't starve.
  • Friendship - I love my group!  They are kind and supportive and welcoming and they make it a great place to hang out.

So if you're in San Diego....this is the place to be!

Not in San Diego? - That's ok!  I can bring you a little taste of the fun.  Book your own online party and we'll have some crafty fun filled with videos and ideas and door prizes and specials!!

CTMH For Always Paper Pack - New Catalog!

The new catalog went live while I was out Cruising the Caribbean so it's time for me to start telling you about all the amazing new paper packs and products.  Lots of fun stuff.

My favorite new paper pack has to be For Always!  These black and white patterns can be mixed and matched with any color in our palette to create something that goes perfectly with your page, card, party, wedding....

I created a fun card with this paper and shot a video too.  Hopefully I'll get it edited Monday night so I can set it to post on Tuesday.

Until then, enjoy this fun artwork from the Close To My Heart art department and head on over to my website to see what else is new and exciting in the idea book!
