CTMH New Product Blog Hop

The Summer 2010 catalog goes live on May 1st so we thought we'd get you excited by sharing some artwork featuring new products.  Woo Hoo!  Lots of cute stuff.  I'm so humbled to be right after Tresa on the blog hop.  She does some amazing work!!

The first thing I ordered is the Cherry-O Workshop on the Go Kit because that's the one I'm featuring at my workshop in May.  Today I'm just going to show you one little card I made with some of my extra papers, because I have a feeling Cherry-O will be making many appearances on this little hop of ours....

So here's #16 Cityscape on my wishes project.

Products Used:
G1008 Cherry-O Workshop on the Go
Tulip, Sweet Leaf and Chocolate Ink

My good friend Candace loaned me her Passages Paper Kit so I could share a different kit with you....and I absolutely fell in love with this paper and the wonderful saying in the stamp set!!  I've been holding on to my My Creations Journal because I wasn't sure how I wanted to decorate it... and then I started playing with this set.  How perfect!!

The little card in the picture is Wishes #19 Simple Strip.  I just love the simplicity of the card and can see sending it to someone as encouragement when they are working on trying something new.

Last up is Wishes #17 Pieced Together.  It's hard to tell in the picture but I wrinkled and distressed all of the layers to give this a vintage look/feel...

Products Used:
Passages Level 2 Paper Pack
C1408 Live Inspired Stamp Set
Ink: Cocoa and Brown Bag (a new fav...I haven't really used it much before!)

Well I hope you enjoyed my creations. Next up on the hop is Kimberly

It's a Miracle....

That I'm finally posting...hahaha!!  But seriously, Close To My Heart's National Scrapbook Month Kit is called Miracle and lucky for me, I have good friends and customers that have been playing with this cool kit!

My good friend and fellow consultant Candace, used the kit to create 12 beautiful cards, then she loaned them to me to display at my workshop.  (We all love working smarter, not harder by sharing samples!)

Tammy came to my workshop and was inspired by the cards so she used my unopened kit, ordered me a new one and created cards very similar to Candace's.

I drew the cutting diagram on the computer and added a few instructions so that Candace and I can give the handout to everyone who purchases the Miracle kits from us.  Fun, fun, fun... (See....she did the creative stuff, I did the computer stuff...it's a match made in heaven. hahaha!)

Email me or visit my website for details on how to get your own Miracle Kit.

But since Close To My Heart is so awesome, I have fun stuff to share...

Go check out Jeanette Lynton's blog!! She's doing a fun giveaway for one of the Workshop on the Go kits!! Woo Hoo!!

And then check out the latest video on my website CTMH TV

I hope that inspires you and tides you over until I can get myself in gear.

CTMH Irresistables Video Tutorial

Hi there everyone!  Hubby is home so it's been hard to concentrate on stamping and picture taking...although I do have a stinkin cute project sitting on my stamp table that is just dying to be shared...

In the meantime, here's a little video from Close To My Heart featuring Irresistables.  We currently sell a package of Irresistable letters in the catalog and...our National Scrapbooking Month Kit has Irresistables in it. Stay tuned for more info on the kit.  The special starts April 15th.

Thankful Thursday - Cycling Style

In case you didn't know... I'm kind of obsessed about bike riding.  I know, I know...shocking.  Besides the actual bike, a lot of equipment goes into the hobby/sport of cycling; a helmet, gloves, padded shorts, sunglasses, bike pump, chain cleaner, odometer and a BIKE RACK...to name a few.

I have put a ton of miles on my dear bike rack.  When I'm riding a lot, it spends weeks on my car.  In fact there have been many times that I've had a hard time getting the car washed because I had to plan it for a day when the bike rack wasn't on the car.  And since I live in California that bike rack has seen it's share of sun.

Recently the poor thing started to show it's age.  It's supposed to carry four bikes but several of the holders deteriorated from the sun and I could only carry two.  Since I've infected the entire family with the cycling bug...two bikes... doesn't work for us.

And so I started googling replacement parts.

What?  I can't buy replacement parts?

The metal is perfect.  Why toss the whole thing.  I just need a few measly plastic parts!!!  I saw bad comments from others who have looked for replacement parts.  Dang... I'm going to have to buy a whole stinkin new bike rack?!?!

Well I called BELL, the manufacturer...

and guess what I got in the mail yesterday????????

All new parts!!  Booyah!!  And just in time... hubby is in New Mexico, headed towards California and we have plans baby!!  Cycling plans....

So today I am thankful for a company that provides FREE replacement parts!!  Go BELL!!

And in a great little coincidence.. hop on over to Jeanette Lynton's blog (founder and CEO of Close To My Heart) because she has an amazing post today that goes with Thankful Thursday.  I love Close to My Heart and the many things we do!!
