Happy New Year - CTMH National Papercrafting Month

Happy New Year!!  I am looking forward to 2015 and lots of fun with Close To My Heart!  In February I am going on the Close To My Heart incentive trip to Disney Aulani thanks to my buddy Bren, I'm hosting another fun retreat at Rabbit Hill Ranch in March, planning to teach at the 2015 Scrappin Escapes retreats and we're headed to Disneyland in July for our annual convention.  Whew...so much fun already in the works.

In order to get started on the right foot, I spent almost two weeks in December organizing my stamp room, planning projects, cutting kits, writing blog posts and scheduling facebook updates so I can guarantee I have a ton to share with you!!

Let's get started with...National Papercrafting Month!!

When you make a qualifying purchase of $50 you can purchase the Year >> Noted kit for only $5.  The kit includes printed papers and cardstock and a stamp set.  For just $5 more you can add the My Creations kraft mini album.

The package is designed to help you put together a "time capsule" scrapbook.  You can keep track of your goals, accomplishments, adventures and highlights throughout the year.  Then "seal" up your book with the large gold seal, pack it away and open it in the future....

Tips and Ideas
  • You can write on the gold foil stickers with a permanent pen!
  • You receive a piece of blue and peach cardstock in the kit.  Cut flowers and embellishments out on your cricut to use throughout your book.
  • Remember to save room for the photos you will be adding!

Hearts for Haiti

It has been great to see such a huge outpouring of love and support for Haiti.  Everywhere you go there are opportunities for giving and many have already given so much.  Today I am excited to share a way that you can continue to help support the efforts in Haiti while getting a great deal!!!

Hearts for Haiti

Our hearts go out to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, and like so many of you, we’re eager to help. And helping has never been easier! Throughout February, purchase a 12" × 12" textured cardstock combo pack and you’ll get one free—and with every offer purchased, Close To My Heart will donate $2 US to Operation Smile’s Haiti relief efforts. That means for only $14.95 US/$17.50 CAN, you get two packs of our high-quality textured cardstock and you help this urgent, important cause.

Operation Smile is always a fantastic charitable partner—offering free facial reconstruction surgeries to needy children throughout the world. They’ve currently marshaled their medical teams and resources to provide emergency relief in Haiti, and the donations given as part of Hearts for Haiti will be used exclusively for Operation Smile’s efforts in Haiti.

Here's a link to Operation Smile's blog on their relief efforts in Haiti.  I hope you'll visit!!  It is fascinating
Textured Cardstock...
I actually used several pieces of textured cardstock for the card bases in yesterdays' post!  I didn't know about this promotion when I decided to use it, but now I am so grateful that I did!

One of the things I love about textured cardstock is that it is two-toned.  One side is a darker shade of color than the other side!!  This makes it PERFECT for card bases!  I like to use the darker side on the outside and the lighter side inside where you write your message.

Stay tuned!  I hope to put together a fun post featuring more benefits of textured cardstock for tomorrow.

How to order:
You can order online anytime at http://www.stamptildawn.myctmh.com/

Want to add it to your regular order?  No problem!  Contact me via email or at the next workshop or gathering and I'll help you with it.

Do you know more scrapbookers that don't attend my workshops?  Here's your chance to share the gorgeous Close To My Heart products and help Haiti too.  Why not gather a few orders from friends?  Gather enough for a party ($150) and you can have the hostess rewards too!!

From me to Operation Smile
On a personal note, I will be rounding-up all of the orders I receive this month as part of our normal Operation Smile program via Close To My Heart.

It's April 15th and I'm.....

Tickled Pink! Many of you probably have "other" things on your mind when I say that it's April 15th...but I have something more fun in mind. Today is the day that the Close To My Heart National Scrapbook Month Kit, Tickled Pink, goes on sale. In all honesty, I didn't fully appreciate this kit before I bought it. I guess I'm kind of spoiled. I know we come up with great kits every year and so I just ordered it without researching what came in it. So imagine my excitement and my surprise when I opened my order on Monday!!

Check this out!

You get this stinkin cute stamp set AND white mini medley AND a foam tool!

And the paper pack! My photography skills don't do the paper justice. It is truly gorgeous.

But wait..there's more... sadly I couldn't get a good picture of the textured cardstock and die-cuts.
The kit is available starting today, while supplies last. You can read all the details and price info on my website.
Have you created something fun with this kit? I'd love to see your creations. Leave me a comment with a link so I can check them out... and I'll post some projects soon! (Once I stop sniffing the paper and admiring it... why oh why is it so hard to just use it!)

Saturday's Scrapbook Project
This saturday is my monthly crop and I'm using the Stardust Workshops on the Go. (Follow the link to see more samples!) Each month I create the layouts using different papers and accessories that are not featured on the Workshop Guide that you get at the workshop. I do it so that you can see how easy it is to adapt the layout to whatever project/paper you want to work on. This month I was feeling inspired so I created TWO samples!!

I haven't added pictures to my Stardust pages yet so you can use your imagination by comparing them to the other pages.

The original sample features an 8x10 photo in the opening, but I had a 5x7. Adding a matte helped to fill in all the open space.
Do you like my lovely ink schmoo on this one? Thankfully it will be covered by photos later. And let's not even mention the strange placement of the stars on the journaling spot. (I didn't notice it until I saw the picture. And here I thought I had placed the stars randomly.)
And here it is with photos...

Be sure to RSVP for the workshop so that you can receive a FREE workshop guide with the template and directions for the layouts featured above. Posted by Picasa
